2026 Buick Enclave: Three Trims, One Engine, Seven Seats

The 2026 Buick Enclave is a three-row SUV that comes in 3 trims: Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir. At launch, its MSRP (the manufacturer's suggested retail price) ran from $46,400 to $60,000. Whichever trim a Central Indiana family picks, it comes with the same turbo engine, the same 7-seat layout and cargo room, and the same standard safety technology. Moving up a trim buys you wheels, upholstery, styling and comfort rather than capability.

That leaves 2 main decisions: the look and cabin you want, and whether you need all-wheel drive. Then there are a few options, such as the Power Package, the panoramic sunroof and Super Cruise.

Power Package, Sunroof and Wheel Choices

Three choices sit on top of the 2026 Enclave trim you pick. How each one is offered depends on the trim, so settle them before you shop.

  • Power Package: standard on Avenir and available on Preferred and Sport Touring. Up front, it adds a Head-Up Display and a Rear Camera Mirror in place of the auto-dimming inside mirror. Farther back, it adds one-touch flat-folding second-row seats and a 60/40 split power-folding third-row bench. It also brings memory settings, a Universal Home Remote and a 110-volt outlet.
  • Panoramic sunroof: the power panoramic sunroof with sunshade is standard on Avenir. A Sport Touring needs the Power Package to get it, and a Preferred needs both the Power Package and all-wheel drive.
  • 22-inch wheels: Preferred and Sport Touring can be fitted with dealer-installed 22-inch wheels in bright chrome or High Gloss Black. These wheels are not offered on the Avenir, which has its own 22-inch wheels.

Which Trim Should You Choose?

Picking a 2026 Enclave trim comes down to price, styling and how many comfort features are standard. If price comes first, start with the Preferred: it costs the least at launch and still comes with a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding outside mirrors and static ambient lighting. The Sport Touring is for shoppers drawn to its blacked-out exterior and darker cabin, and its only interior choice is Ebony seats with Sky Cool Gray and Ebony interior accents. Buyers who want the most comfort and convenience features as standard equipment should look at the Avenir, which offers a choice of 3 seat-and-accent combinations.

Engine, Drive and Fuel Economy

Every 2026 Buick Enclave uses the same powertrain, whichever trim you choose.

Powertrain Every 2026 Enclave
Engine 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
Horsepower 328 hp at 5,500 rpm
Torque 326 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm

Fuel Regular unleaded

Front-wheel drive is standard on all 3 trims, and all-wheel drive with Driver Select is available on each of them. Your drivetrain choice changes the EPA estimates and the size of the fuel tank.

Drivetrain EPA city / highway / combined Fuel tank (approximate)
Front-wheel drive 20 / 25 / 22 mpg 19.4 gal
All-wheel drive 20 / 24 / 21 mpg 21.7 gal

Towing and Capability

Towing capacity does not change from one 2026 Enclave trim to the next, because the Trailering Package is standard on all 3. The table below sets the rating beside the Enclave's own weight.

Capability Front-wheel drive All-wheel drive
Maximum towing 5,000 lb 5,000 lb
Curb weight 4,537 lb 4,733 lb

Every 2026 Enclave, with front-wheel or all-wheel drive, is rated to pull a trailer that weighs more than the Enclave itself. The standard Trailering Package includes heavy-duty engine cooling, a trailer hitch, Hitch Guidance and Hitch View. Central Indiana's roads are flat, so long grades are rarely the issue with a trailer behind you. Crosswinds on open stretches are the thing to watch.

Seats, Space and Cargo

Every 2026 Enclave seats 7: 2 up front, 2 captain's chairs in the second row and a 3-person bench in the third.

Leg, shoulder and hip room are the same on every trim, while head room depends on the panoramic sunroof, which is standard on Avenir. This table lists each row's room in inches.

Row Head room without sunroof (Preferred, Sport Touring) Head room with sunroof (any trim) Leg room Shoulder room Hip room
First row 42.60 41.18 44.29 (maximum) 62.17 58.70

Third row 38.27 38.54 32.13 57.76 48.54

Cargo space depends on which rows are in use.

Seating setup Cargo space
All 3 rows in use 22.9 cu ft behind the third row
Third row folded, second row up 57.1 cu ft
Second and third rows folded 97.5 cu ft

The AutoSense hands-free power liftgate is standard on every trim. A dealer-installed Cargo Package adds a security shade, a cargo shelf with a divider and a cargo net.

Technology and Standard Safety

Every 2026 Enclave has the same infotainment screen and the same standard safety technology, from the Preferred to the Avenir.

The dash carries a customizable ultrawide 30-inch diagonal display, which Buick markets as the largest in its class. It runs Google built-in, with navigation capability, connected apps, personalized driver profiles and Natural Voice Recognition. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for compatible phones.

These braking and alert features are standard on every 2026 Enclave trim:

  • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Rear Pedestrian Alert
  • Side Bicyclist Alert

Each 2026 Enclave trim also comes with these driver-assistance and parking features:

  • Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, which adjusts your cruising speed to the vehicle ahead
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, which helps keep you in your lane and warns you if you drift out of it
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • HD Surround Vision
  • Rear Park Assist

The Super Cruise Package is available on all 3 trims and standard on none. It adds Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance, Driver Attention Assist and Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, which replaces the standard Rear Park Assist.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rates the 2026 Enclave 5 stars for side crash protection and 4 stars for rollover. The Enclave's overall and frontal crash ratings are listed as Not Rated.

If your week includes the I-69 commute toward Indianapolis or Hamilton County, the standard adaptive cruise, Lane Keep Assist and Active Noise Cancellation are the features to try when you request a test drive.

Is the 2026 Enclave Right for You?

The 2026 Enclave fits a Central Indiana household that often fills a third row and wants all-wheel drive available at any trim level. Look elsewhere if you need an eighth seat, because every Enclave seats 7. The same goes for a trailer heavier than the Enclave's towing rating.

If you are trading in your current vehicle, start with an instant cash offer on your trade. You can also get pre-approved for financing before you visit. We are on SR 9 (Scatterfield Road), about 2 miles north of I-69 Exit 226, and you can map your route and check our hours to plan the trip.
